Our Front “Yard”

image

image

This weekend while the wife was out of town I spent Saturday sitting on my butt and did nothing. To make up for being a lazy bum on Saturday, I decided to finish the front yard on Sunday. 5 wheelbarrows of dirt, 9 bags of mulch, and 5 hours of work later we finally have a finished front yard.

So what’s next?

Irrigation System Time

image

image

Bought an irrigation system to install to keep me lazy :) It took me 45 minutes to water all these plants the other day so we decided automatic would be nicer. I plan on finishing up the rest of the system this evening after work. So close!

These are some pictures I took the evening before the Halloween party. The flagstone is buried. We’ve got 90 percent of the mulch out. After the pictures I moved our remaining dirt to the backyard along with our extra jumbo flagstones that there wasn’t room for in the front. Stay tuned for pictures from the pumpkin carving party today and you’ll get to see some finished pics of the house… In daylight for once!

Another Blue

First Plantings

image

Tonight we plan to plant the remaining plants in the yard and to have the areas mulched. We may try to get some large flagstone pieces for the parking area so when people get out of their cars they have something to walk on (we’ll put ground cover plants between the stones).
